As a Service Desk Engineer you will be a member of our international oriented support team (currently circa 40 FTE’s) in the global Customer Support Center, which is part of our Operations department. You will report into our Team Lead CSC. The CSC team is responsible for all incident management activities. Our Service Desk Engineers are responsible for the intake and first analysis of new reported incidents. The administrative completion on created incidents once the service is resolved will include communication towards our customers and providers.
Your primary tasks in this position will include:
- Communicate with customers and provider concerning incoming incidents and register these findings;
- Perform 1st line trouble shooting on reported incidents;
- Log incidents in the Expereo trouble ticket system;
- Ensure our customers are informed of planned works scheduled by our providers;
- Manage the customer relation by means of proactive communication throughout the Service Desk life cycle of the incidents so that the client experiences the incident as fully and adequately resolved by Expereo.
- Completed relevant education (ICT, Electronics, Telecommunications);
- Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience;
- General knowledge of: Routers / firewalls (primarily Cisco) Network management systems / tools
- VPN solutions (public based on IPSEC/SSL or private based on MPLS)
- Access networking technologies (xDSL, Leased Line, wireless, satellite)
- English and French or Spanish proficiency is a must, any other extra language is a plus;
- Analytical & strong communicator;
- Creative & customer focused;
- Team player.
